Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information The Hoops Corral collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. Short version: we collect only what we need to run the booster club — we don't sell your information, and we don't run ads.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information: name and email address when you create an account.
  • Donation information: your name, email, donation amount, and whether you chose to remain anonymous. Payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor — they never touch our servers.
  • Event registrations: name, email, number of attendees, and ticket details.
  • Contact form: name, email, optional phone number, and your message.
  • Technical basics: like most websites, our hosting infrastructure logs IP addresses and browser information for security and reliability. We do not use advertising trackers.

3. How We Use Information

  • To process donations and send receipts.
  • To manage event registrations, waitlists, check-in, reminders, and cancellations.
  • To respond to messages you send us.
  • To send transactional emails (account, donation, and event confirmations) and, if applicable, club updates. Broadcast emails include a way to opt out.
  • To display your name on the public donor wall — only if you chose not to be anonymous.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent fraud.

4. Who We Share It With

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run the site, and only as needed:

  • Stripe — payment processing (donations and paid tickets). See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
  • Supabase — secure database, authentication, and file storage hosting.
  • Resend — email delivery for receipts, confirmations, and club updates.
  • Lovable — website hosting infrastructure.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of the Corral, its members, or others.

5. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in (authentication). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Event registrations for minors should be made by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data Retention

We keep donation records as required for financial accountability and any applicable tax rules. Account, registration, and contact data are kept while your account is active or as needed to operate the club. You may ask us to delete your account and associated personal data, subject to records we are required to keep.

8. Your Choices

  • Donor wall: choose anonymity at donation time, or ask us to remove your name later.
  • Email: opt out of broadcast emails via the link in the email; transactional emails (like receipts) are sent only when you transact.
  • Recurring donations: cancel anytime by contacting us.
  • Access and deletion: contact us to request a copy or deletion of your personal data.

9. Security

Data is stored with access controls (including row-level security), encrypted in transit, and payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect, which limits what could ever be exposed.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the club's operations evolve. The “Last updated” date below reflects the current version; material changes will be noted on the site.

11. Contact
